Confirmed from El Ranchito County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space featuring a baseball diamond, basketball court and playground, plus serene picnic tables.
What runners say about El Ranchito County Park
“Very clean and nice park and has a trail around the park to walk and have kids play area not a huge play area but enough to keep kids entertained for the afternoon”
“Serene environment and a nice place to walk or jog.”
Good park to run and have kids play at. I would like to see stop points along the running trail such as stretching, ab, steppers. One problem I do have is random cars that drive by and some cars that just park here and who knows what is going on inside their car.
It's good place to walk the only thing I didn't like some walker had his dog w/out a leash:(went back today wanted to start walking again but some people have no sense taking thier dog to the park with no leash.
Excellent park to walk and take the kids to play on the playground and basketball court
This park is located in the small community of el ranchito and has ample parking. It boasts a basketball court, baseball diamond, soccer field, a jungle gym and two small covered spaces. Those spaces are equipped with tables and benches and barbecue pits.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
