Confirmed from Eldridge Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring various athletic fields, a creek for canoeing & a lagoon for fishing & ice skating.
What runners say about Eldridge Park
“Well-maintained park with a paved trail that goes around a lagoon and connects to the Salt Creek Trail.”
“Beautiful trails, play area for kids, fishing pond, pet friendly, and snow sledding hill.”
This is such a great park and there is a lot to do here. The place is massive and has a couple different playgrounds, a nice pond to fish at, a baseball field and trails to walk on. If you're looking for a place to get out and just enjoy nature this is definitely a good place to go.
Nice Park to spend mornings or evenings walking, jogging or just enjoying the weather on a park bench… The loop is approximately 3/4 of a mile and they also have a shorter loop around the bunny Hill . The bunny Hill becomes a fun sled Hill in Winter (whenever there is snow!) Overall great park in the Elmhurst area …
Very nice park with a wealth of options for things to do. There are to play structures for kids and a nice lake/pond for catch and release fishing. Bike trails throughout and soccer fields. Best of all in winter there is a decent sled hill with lights!
Beautiful trails, play area for kids, fishing pond, pet friendly, and snow sledding hill. There's fields for sports of all kinds. I stumbled upon it, as I'm new to the area. My son had mentioned it to me when he went for a run. I'm sure I didn't see everything, but I'll be going back in the future with my grandkids.
Trail conditions & character
“My actual experience was minimal, as I was simply parking in the parking lot with a broken down car until someone could come rescue me.”
“Salt Creek, a little hill, a pond, wood patches, and prairie exhibit--all add to landscape variety.”
“Beautiful trails, play area for kids, fishing pond, pet friendly, and snow sledding hill.”
“Beautiful trails, play area for kids, fishing pond, pet friendly, and snow sledding hill.”
“Does not have an ADA EZ Dock, but there is a cement walk way all the way down to the Salt Creek.”
