Confirmed from Elk Ridge Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Elk Ridge Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (896 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“As you drive further into the park, you pass three well-kept baseball diamonds with small bleachers and a public bathroom.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“There are tall trees here and the little playground is shaded.”

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“The park is huge and has playground equipment for kids of all ages!”

Fun park to spend the day at with the family, take the dog for a walk, or play some disk golf. Baskets aren’t numbered but there’s maps available online. Plus baseball diamonds, tennis court, and basketball court.

This is a large park that seems rather uninteresting from the road but once you drive into it and past the first parking lot and into the back you see all it has to offer! In the front next to the road is an old barn style pavilion next to an old toddler size playground, a basketball court, and tennis court.

This is a nice park with lots of space. There is a walking path that surrounds. A little bumpy in places but not bad. There are numerous fields, a mini-disc golf course, pavilions, and playgrounds. A few places are in need of renovation, but that's expected for a free park. Love the pumpkin festival here as well.

★★★★★ — Honest , Jan 2026

This park has been a very fun place over the years and I'm glad to see new playground equipment being added, facilities updated. It's also a great place to watch fireworks at for Freedom Fire. I love how this place is also a popular place for the Pumpkin Walk!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
