Confirmed from Saddleback Mountain Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Saddleback Mountain Trailhead
I agree that is trail is steep. If you are of medium fitness like me, (I run 5 miles with 9:30 split times.) you can push yourself to make it to the top in 1 hour and 15 minutes and then with a little jog down make it down in 40 minutes. I love the views from anywhere you stop to take a breath.
Gorgeous place!! Super tough hike, but completely worth it for the view.
I took a group of people to days in a row to snowshoe a trail. Love the views!
