Confirmed from Elkhart Bog Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Elkhart Bog Nature Preserve
“With the different birds singing and fall colors filling the landscape this is a really beautiful place to be.”
“Very nice, easy walk, boardwalk across a bog.”
This is a new and small nature preserve managed and owned by Indiana DNR that I learnt about just a few weeks ago. It just has a single trial the ends in a boardwalk overlooking the bog. It is beautiful all along the way and the bog looks pristine as well.
Very rejuvenating walk back to the pier. With the different birds singing and fall colors filling the landscape this is a really beautiful place to be. So many little details to appreciate!
Stopped for a picnic and walk while on a road trip. There were no tables that we were able to find but a vice nice walking path.
I didn't make it all the way through the park. Nice parking area and walking paths. Beautiful area to enjoy a walk. Very flat and easily accessible.
