Confirmed from Elliott Woods State Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very cool place for a hike. When I come hear I like to find the owls and watch them. I was hear one day and could hear them so I followed the owl sounds and found a owl with baby’s. I like to go watch them when I am hiking in the area.

Came here on the 8th before the totality of the Eclipse. This is a nice walking area, with some nice hilly landscape and some cute little bridges that go over a stream. It reminded me of a hilly version of Russ Forest back in MI, minus the massive Beech Trees.

It takes roughly an hour to walk the trail, not bad for an adventure. Many crossover bridges on the trail. It was clean. Enough greenery to feel isolated but also really well marked, some hills scattered throughout. Perfect spot to get away from the noise in the city. A diamond in the rough for sure.

Camping, moderate trails, fishing, playground, Maple syrup, and now work out station very cool.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
