We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Elwell State Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded waterfront site with trails & bridges for walking & biking plus boating & water sports.
What runners say about Elwell State Park
“Excellent place by the river , beautiful for pictures.”
Nice park, bike trail, picnic tables, nice view of the river, plenty of parking. 4 Stars because of the road noise. It is close to the highway.
I walk across the Trestle and back every week at least two times. People are friendly, nature is all around you, and it's just tranquil.
Nice public area for local and tourist to enjoy your day outside, good spot to fish, bike, or even if it's just a walk your looking for.

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
