Confirmed from Emerald Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a paved trail along a river, popular for walking, hiking, and biking.
What runners say about Emerald Park
“Beautiful views and perfect for hiking as it’s not very crowded and easy to find parking.”
“Not that many people there either so very peaceful and quiet.”
Nice park with two main hike options. 1) Switchback down to the river 2) walk around the horseshoe-shaped cliff edge, overlooking the city, river and bike park below. Beautiful views, easy-moderate hike.
Great walk by the river and nice view of the city on the top of the cliff. A sidenote, a good part of the trail is a paved road, good for bikes. There was even a family who brought their teleguided mini-car for a race. Nice and easy.
Beautiful walking trail right away from the trail head. I walked a good ways in and posted up at the top of the cliff and ate lunch and took in the scenery. They also have a really cool looking bike track that I would love to come back and check out!
I go here every time I'm in Little Rock . The trail and view are super cool for my RC hobby. Down below the cliff is a BMX type pump track. There's lots of graffiti, but I've never encountered anyone being a jerk.

“The trail back up to the parking lot is NOT paved- so I end up carrying the umbrella stroller and the toddler up the switchbacks but it's not too bad.”

“Love this place for either a quick stroller ride with the toddler or the 7 mile loop connecting to the skateboard park.”
