NOT THE TRAILHEAD!!! So many people are posting pictures and reviews here as if this was the TRAILHEAD of the 3 mile hike on Holly and Emery Creek that goes to the waterfalls - it's not! Directions WARNING!!!
This wonderful trail full of adventure is The Narrows of Southern Appalachia. Your shoes will get wet on this 3 mile trail leading you to a beautiful 50' waterfall. Bring a hiking stick(s).
Beautiful place with a raging river. Not a beginner hike - first river crossing was a little intense. You will be wet and cross many creeks but was amazing. Great hike when it’s a little warmer. If u bring a dog make sure they are good swimmers and u have leash to help them cross.
The waterfalls were nice and a good reward for making it there. It's about a 3 mile - one way - hike and a great way to experience pure nature. If you follow the trail, you will have to cross water no less than 10 times. There are plenty of rocks, but no man-made bridges.
