Confirmed from Emmons Pond Bog's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Emmons Pond Bog
“Beautiful easy hike w interpretive web pages available via qr codes”
“Trails through fields are long grass, trails in woods are easy to follow.”
Nice short walk through fields and forest. Large bog. Trails through fields are long grass, trails in woods are easy to follow.
This is a very nice place to go hiking for a few hours. It is owned by the Nature Conservancy and the interesting thing about this bog is that its location is about 2000 feet in elevation from sea level. There used to be a boardwark shaped like a loop that would allow you to see bog vegetation and the inner bog area.
Fun little place to hike and explore. I heard that there are also pitcher plants that sprout here naturally, though I haven’t caught the correct time of year, yet!
What a fun trail! So many ecosystems to observe. The trail was well-cleared, though there were parts that were muddy and some spots I had to walk across on rocks and logs. It's mid-May, so lots of spring flowers! Please like this review if you find it helpful.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
