Confirmed from Ester Dome Singletrack's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ester Dome Singletrack

“This is a very well-prepared and well-marked set of mountain bike MTB trails that are also ideal for hiking.”
This is a very well-prepared and well-marked set of mountain bike MTB trails that are also ideal for hiking. The outer loop is about 6 miles. It intersects at several places with the inner loop, about 2.5 miles. There are signs at every intersection of the two loops.
Fantastic single track with great climbs and descents. If you have more than one vehicle, you can park one at the Goldstream bike shop and the other at the trailhead and have endless downhill rides.
Best single track in Fairbanks area! Well maintained and well marked trails with maps. Awesome
Little rough today 26 July 2022, windstorm knocked a few trees across the trail, especially as you head up pass mile 10 of the Equinox and pass the abandoned car.. Definitely one of my favorite trail systems in Fairbanks
Trail conditions & character
“The single track is two way so ya gotta pay attention to who's coming your way.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
