Confirmed from Esther Yanai Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Esther Yanai Preserve
“Quiet park with a walking loop that takes you through the preserve and along Swedes Run.”
09/11/2023: After 2.5 years, I found out that there were many boardwalks built across those swampy areas. So even after the heavy rain last night, it was not muddy walking on the trail. Thumbs up for the township public works!
Peaceful wooded park with a trail and a creek. Lots of mushrooms in the fall. Great place to escape if you want to be amongst the trees for a little while :)
At first glance the trail doesn't appear too vast but discovered yesterday that the trail is a large loop. A bench can be found along a stream, a very peaceful setting. Was amazed at how many different species of mushroom were naturally growing around the path on pieces of dead wood.
Found this place while searching for a trail near Majoda Stables. Surprised it was so close. Late winter visit no leaves yet, after a day of rain. Mostly dry but wetness was a hindrance to progressing too far. A few huge trees fells. Will definitely return later in the year.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
