Confirmed from Evergreen Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Evergreen Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (344 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 8 mentions

“Plenty of shade and picnic tables under a roof, bathrooms, and the pleasant sound of Mill Creek running along the edge of the park.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“There is an awesome playground that entertains all ages from littles to pre-teens, a baseball field, and additional fields.”

Not much of a walking trail unless you walk around the huge field. Found an wonderful monument regarding the first African American Slaves who came to UTAH. Looked for a sign stating dogs need to be on a leash. Never saw one. The park does have one dog bag station to pickup after your canine/s.

Great park! Plenty of shade and picnic tables under a roof, bathrooms, and the pleasant sound of Mill Creek running along the edge of the park. There is an awesome playground that entertains all ages from littles to pre-teens, a baseball field, and additional fields.

This as my favorite park when I was a little kid( so it holds a special place in my heart), I'm now 32 and live nearby. They have updated most of the playground equipment. I've always loved this park. I love walking my dog here. It's such a great place for picnics, parties, relaxing, playing, etc.

I grew up with evergreen park, so I loved it before they renovated it, but it's even better now. I love the walking trails, the restrooms, and all the new play structure features. It's not a terribly big park, but it still has everything you'd want, and it's right next to the community center and library.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌳 Shaded / tree cover 8 mentions

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work

  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
