Confirmed from Fairmont Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Area featuring a disc golf course, dog parks and playground.
What runners say about Fairmont Park
“The trail is about a Mile from point to point and the majority is very well maintained if your lucky you might spot a bald eagle on the northern point of the trail”
“Your new beautiful puppy needs to be fully vaccinated and have a rabies tag before your puppy enters the park.”
“The DOG part of the Park is also awesome, great area for dogs to run and play (a small kennel/large kennel is available).”
Great little park, one of my personal favorite hiking trails in Manhattan. The trail is about a Mile from point to point and the majority is very well maintained if your lucky you might spot a bald eagle on the northern point of the trail
It is an awesome park to go to especially if you have dogs or would like to play disc golf. Beautiful and clean Park. Always fun to take my dog's there. They enjoy being able to run around and play ball. People never give us a hard time about anyting... I think that they actually enjoy seeing and talking to the dogs.
Very nice. Traveling through and needed a place for our pup to run around and use the bathroom. Had lots of grass and water fountain built in for pups. Garbage can and bags available. Very nice.
Great park to take a break and reconnect with nature at. Nice atmosphere. Can sit and enjoy nature, play disc golf, walk, play on playground, etc. The roads were a little rough in places but we have been having lots of rain. Will definitely go back and play disc golf. Might even take our dogs!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
