Confirmed from Fairview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Sprawling park with ball fields, playgrounds and a splash pad.

What runners say about Fairview Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (209 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“The new splash pad is a fantastic addition—clean, fun, and perfect for kids.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“The entire park is well maintained, with beautiful grounds that show real care and attention.”

This park has always been one of my favorites because it has a secret spot that not too many people know about. If you take a walk up one of the hills about a 1/4 mile up. The hill opens up and it's super windy. A perfect kite flying field with amazing views of south hills rolling country side.

Beautiful park with huge playgrounds for soccer, baseball, basketball etc. You can reserve the grounds online for games which is nice. I wish there was a good walking trail around the park for those who like to walk, jog or run..

When I come up here to visit my family, I often run at the park. The area is kept up nicely and they have well maintained ball fields. The only thing is that some people bring their dogs up here and they are not on a leash. They let them roam around the park while people are around.

★★★★☆ — Rheta , Jul 2020

This is a great park. My kids played baseball and lacrosse here over the years. What would make it a great park is if we cut in some mountain bike trails around the perimeter. We could squeeze in a few quality miles, no doubt.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Fairview Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
