Confirmed from Fairwood Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Pristine, family-friendly park featuring playgrounds, baseball fields and picnic areas.
What runners say about Fairwood Community Park
“One of the most post and beautiful parks in Bowie.”
Nice park with picnic areas, two soccer fields and an amazing playground for the kids. Drawbacks are that you need a permit to use the soccer fields and picnic pavilions. Walking paths surround the whole park.
Nice playground, great walking paths, and plenty of open space to play toss.
Awesome park. Very large open space with different features. There's a playground, walking space, soccer field, space to walk dogs, bike station, gazebo, and more. They also offer programming and events too. The park is also in a great location. Right near a shopping center with a grocery store, gym, and restaurants.
Clean. Safe. Family-friendly. Great walking trails, playgrounds, and open spaces. A hidden gem in Bowie for a morning walk, jog, or relaxing outdoor day. 🥾☀️💚
Trail conditions & character
“Safeway is right next to the park in case bathrooms are locked or ya having a cookout and need extra supplies.”
“It was a huge turnout, parking was a challenge if you didn’t arrive early and it was extremely hot but it was a great show.”
