Not camped here but several hiking trails. We met up with a bird banding employee who had netting set up. She was full of info and have us a backyard bird book of South Dakota birds.
Fantastic migrating birds pass through here in Spring and fall! I come here often to see them. lovely place to hike, shore fish and bird watch
Wonderful State Park, beautifully maintained. Sites are large and grassy. Few mature trees in the Eastern end, but was still very nice. Great views of the surrounding hills. Nature walks, bike paths, fishing and swimming in the river. Oh did I mention that the bathrooms and showers were awesome and sparkling clean.
This is a great park for hiking, camping, swimming and just relaxing after a hard day at work. The fishing is great! Crappie in the spring, also bass and walleye. I know that you will have a great and relaxing time here at Farm Island. Thanks for visiting.
