A snow shoe hike across the prairie and through the woods with breathtaking views of the winter landscape and sky was a great way to spend a few hours in nature.
Nice walk. Mostly field walk unless u take the far river trail. That is just a small path to walk along the river in the actual wooded area. There are some benches along the way to take a break on. Its nice cause not many people hike here and dogs are allowed.
Mowed turf trail system throughout a large tallgrass prairie. For the more adventurous visitors, take the river trail and see the mature floodplain forest!
Awesome trail to walk dogs!! Yes there is a lot of prairie area, but if you walk back far enough it turns into woods and is beautiful!!
