Confirmed from Fenton Forest On Bauxite Ridge Trail Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Fenton Forest On Bauxite Ridge Trail Entrance
This was such a nice, easy, fast trail. I was surprised that there weren't more riders or hikers here today but it is early Sunday morning. I'd expect the popularity to be higher at other times. I'm speaking from a purely mountain bike point of view but the trails are fantastic. They're kept up very nicely.
Good flowy mountain biking trails. Box Turtle is a new trail, it is excellent. Google maps does not take you to the new parking lot at the trailhead, try 4855 Sunkist Terrace
Challenging mountain bike trails. Mostly intermediate level riding. Only 3 easy trails, 1 "flow trail", and 3 difficult trails (one is a long rock garden running along the top of the ridge.) All the rest are intermediate trails.
This trail system is a hidden gem for the mountain biking community in the Chattanooga area! Bauxite is fast and flowy with some pretty steep uphill to start, but lots of trails that are very accessible at the top of the ridge. This is a great beginner-to-moderate trail system. It's a blast.
