Confirmed from Fink Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Fink Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (294 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“This park is rarely crowded, has a really nice, well maintained playground jungle gym that is suited to all ages of kids.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“This is a great place because wherever you go, you will change one beautiful location for another (Hafer Park, or the University place)”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Nice quiet playground and surrounded by trails but and honey bucket close by.”

Large park with a walking/ biking path and playground. We went for the playground. If you are only going to the playground there is parking on Park Pl off Rankin St. The playground is nice with a few slides and climbing toys. The only swings they have are toddler swings.

Hidden Gem of a park! This park is rarely crowded, has a really nice, well maintained playground jungle gym that is suited to all ages of kids. The trails are phenomenal. You could walk or bike all the way to Hafer Park if you wanted to and never be on a city street.

Nice, pretty trails and park. Watch out for stickers and poison Ivy if exploring off trail but that’s normal. Lovely picnic spot in the middle of Edmond.

★★★★★ — Charis , Jul 2023

Great paved trails, lovely sandstone outcropping and a nice playground. Just be aware of goathead stickers and thorns.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Fink Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
