Confirmed from First Responders Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring playgrounds and athletic fields, plus a disc golf course.
What runners say about First Responders Park
“Not very well maintained as the grass was pretty long when I went.”
This park really has something for everyone! We loved the large playground area with multiple play structures and swing sets. Kids of all ages will have a ton of fun on them. For sports enthusiasts, there are 4 soccer fields and one large baseball diamond. All of the fields looked to be pretty well maintained.
First Responders Park is a cute little park with an open field of goal posts, playground equipment as well as a walk out dock to enjoy the fish turtles! We didn't notice this place was so close until I drove by it yesterday. It has some walking paths off the park, Frisbee golf, and public restrooms.
A very wide open park with lots of parking. There is a nice playground for the kids, a pond with some fish but is also wheelchair accessible. The town should stock the pond and make it catch and release. There is a disk golf course and athletic fields. Lastly, there is a very large shelter and restrooms.
Referred to by our family as the tire swing playground, I can see folks visiting this park and finding it cute, quaint and perfect or... unimpressive, buggy and missing the mark. I think it depends on your attitude going in.
Trail conditions & character
“The bathroom facility needs better lighting, but hey there's bathrooms (seasonally open) a blessing .”
“Otherwise, it's a nice park with soccer nets open and some short trails that are nice for the dog”
“There was ample parking, as this is where 3 soccer fields and a baseball diamond are.”
“) The course is a combination of open and wooded holes.”
“There is a nice playground for the kids, a pond with some fish but is also wheelchair accessible.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
