Confirmed from Flat Rock Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Wondrous place to take photos! Beautiful location to walk along the river, a fabulous view! Parking can be found anywhere, dirt paths to park by the water in deep shade from phenomenally large trees! Ive watched families bring a portable barbecue and fix lunch...

This is a nice park in the city of Kerrville on a beautiful stretch of the Guadalupe River where a lot of locals enjoy picnicking, swimming, the playground, walking trails, and an area that is a designated off leash dog park. There is also good space to fly kites.

★★★★★ — Stephanie , Sep 2020

The park is well shaded and many of the trees already have a swinging rope attached. This was a perfect place to swim and relax.

★★★★★ — San , Jul 2021

Great place to relax, access the river or run your dog. There's a playground for the littles, a few popular fishing spots and a couple of places that look good for kayak launch. The dog run is down at the end.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
