Confirmed from Foothills Trail, East Puyallup Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I have used this trail for 10+ years, and I always feel happy and refreshed after my many trips along it. There are various sights to see year round. In the spring, you will find numerous flowers in bloom.

Other then having a 2 hour parking restriction, it's very nice. If you plan to take the whole trail park down the street.

★★★★☆ — Chris , Sep 2021

From here to the end is 40.1 miles with around 650' elevation change. Gradual grades, only a couple places I would call "hills" and that more towards the turnaround. Good for kids of all ages. The trail is basically the size of a single lane rd. Paved and mostly smooth.

Great place to walk, with a beautiful view of Mt Rainier. The path is wide enough for bicycles, joggers, and walkers, and it's dog friendly. Update- First visit since the trailhead improveme.ts recently. There is more parking in the larger parking lot. And two entrances. Love this trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
