Confirmed from Fork Factory Brook Reservation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“Easy walk, perfect for families, and some interesting things to discover”

A great place for a hike. The trails are well marked and maintained. The main trails are good for kids, nothing too strenuous. The side trails offer a better challenge for those interested. It is also very dog friendly, and has some off-leash sections.

Small park with a nice low-key hiking trail. I went hiking with my 7-year old son and we had a great time. A nice easy walk next to Rocky Woods Reservation.

★★★★★ — Brian , Feb 2019

Beautiful place for either a short hike/walk, or tagged onto a trip to the adjacent Rocky Woods Reservation!

★★★★★ — Catherine , Jul 2025

We like the Fork Factory side of the park: the kids love exploring around the old mill site, playing in the waterfalls. The summit has a good view, and further west along the ridge there are the remains of an old cabin, complete with wooden watering trough, basement, and rusted wash pans.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
