Confirmed from Fort Gratiot Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Fort Gratiot Trail
Nice place to walk and listen to the frogs! Pet friendly with poop bag stations.
Beautiful clean park. Great walking trails. Our dogs love it here and there's even a drinking fountain for them. Lovely nature views with some wildlife sightings. Definitely worth the visit.
The Fort Gratiot Trail can be accessed from behind Meijer on 24th Ave. or the Fort Gratiot Pond off Parker Road. Such a pleasant walk, lots of nature especially at Kettlewell Pond. You'll see many varieties of birds, especially the Blue Herons are a sight to see such a big bird.
A bicycle ride in the woods and around the ponds to see the wildlife on the Fort Gratiot trail. Go in the morning if possible, more animals are out. It's a peaceful beautiful wander that I recommend to everyone.
