Confirmed from Fort Mott State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Remains of the riverfront fortifications anchor this natural spot with paths & picnic areas.
What runners say about Fort Mott State Park
“I can't say that the view over the water is spectacular but the park is well kept and nice on its own.”
“Beautiful , well maintained park.”
“Secluded, quiet, peaceful.”
“The nature trail was a nice, easy walk, too.”
I really enjoyed my visit to Fort Mott State Park. The self-guided walking tour around the gun batteries was interesting. There were a lot of signs available describing the site. I also liked the nature trail to Finns Pt. Cemetery and the Fort Mott museum, as well.
East parking. Easy to get around. Plenty of trails. Signs explaining the history. Free access. Public bathrooms. Pavilions. Play ground. Great sun set views. No water access. Can walk in/adventure on to some of the structures, so blocked off.
Our homeschool groups got together for a guided tour of Fort Mott State Park. Our tour guide, Anna, was patient with our group and very kind. She answered every question our group gave her with great detail. The tour was informative. The scenery by the Delaware River was absolutely breathtaking.
Rode here after a visit to Finns point rear range lighthouse. Park was open. Fort was open to walk through and see the view. The playground and picnic area were in use by many visitors. I can't say that the view over the water is spectacular but the park is well kept and nice on its own.
