Fort Washington State Park in Pennsylvania is truly a gem that stole my heart during my recent visit. Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Montgomery County, this park offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The bird observation platform is my favorite part. Nice scenic trail by the creek. Not too crowed and dog friendly. Plenty of benches and out coves to take a break. Excellent restroom facilities. There are bulletin broads with maps and information. Even a water fountain (hydration station).
This has been on my bucket list for years. This did not disappoint. Jane Austin once said.....“To sit in the shade on a fine day, and look upon verdure, is the most perfect refreshment.” I would suggest as a tip to use the bathrooms near parking lot 3 and 4 and then drive up to parking lot 5.
Went on a group camping trip here at the beginning of June we only stayed one night but still had such a blast 🤠 The camping is up a private road I'm not sure how many group camping spots we're at the first one ans I didn't walk up to see the others.
