Confirmed from Fossil Creek Park MTB Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Shady trail for mountain biking and hiking, with some dips and jumps.

I came here to test out and was really impressed with the trails. Well maintained and good signage. Really easy trail for the beginner in me and not too technical. Definitely coming back here. Plenty of shade! Beautiful scenery.

Just opened but a great trail! Quick enough to do a loop in 30/40 minutes. Not a ton of climbs but still twisty enough to make you really have push to build speed after bleeding off in a turn. Overall for being the closest trail to me here on the west side of DFW it will see a lot of use!

Amazing little trail. Maybe 20 minute walk all the way around back to your car area. They have signs throughout the trail guiding you where to go. I think it needs to be cleaned up a little bit with Community service members I think this place can look amazing. Needs a little clean up.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
