The Fox Run Trail at First Landing State Park is a short, peaceful gem that is perfect for a quick, low stress walk in nature. This flat, packed-dirt path cuts through a beautiful section of the maritime forest, surrounded by tall loblolly pines, ancient live oaks, and stunning trees draped in Spanish moss.
This trail is rates Easy and is from .5 to 1 mile. Grades are short and the ground is sand dirt packed. Do have to watch for tree roots breaking the surface. I walked the road from the trail center to the trail. There are nice views of the swamp and several spots to sit and rest.
