Confirmed from Franklin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“The park is beautifully maintained with wide open green spaces, mature shade trees, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for walks, picnics, or just getting outside.”

Nice loop trail with multiple play grounds. Great parking options on both sides. Multiple fields as well. Great place for a picnic or a run!

★★★★★ — Lace , Sep 2021

Great little park near the intersection of Roe and Somerset. Lots of jungle gym equipment that seems safe and maintained. Swings, tire swing, and public restrooms are also available. Covered and uncovered picnic benches and walking benches spread out throughout the concourse.

★★★★★ — Scott , Jan 2023

Excellent shade. Plenty of community toys to play with. Creek was so refreshing to play with but beware of hornets. Great accessibility for younger toddlers. You might want to bring a change of clothes.

★★★★★ — Ximena , Jul 2022

Wonderful park with lots for the kids to do, including some splashing in a running creek and small waterfall! The play area is shaded most of the time with just a few patches of sun midday. Perfect for a hot summer day.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
