Confirmed from Taliaferro Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Taliaferro Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (146 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Walking trail, half basket ball court, fenced in pickleball/tennis courts, nice play equipment in great condition, sand pit, public restrooms etc.”

🌳 shaded & cool 6 mentions

“Morning and afternoon/evening are the best times for the playground as the trees will give kids shade.”

This is a great little park for toddlers and 5-7 year olds. The little green play structure even has a built in race track; so bring some toy cars! There is a sand pit, restrooms, shelter, and a great green space for running and playing.

★★★★★ — Katherine , Apr 2024

Quiet, spacious and not crowded. Nice bathrooms as well. There is 1 shelter, a playground, a couple tennis courts and a big looped trail.

★★★★★ — Lacey , May 2023

Very secluded nice little park with one shelter, a large playground, tennis courts and a flat easy paved walk around the ball feild and park. Well used and enjoyed by the neighbors in this densely populated residential neighborhood. Perfect for a picnic.

★★★★★ — Bob , Jul 2020

We love this park to take our twin 2 year olds. I came for the first time a few weeks ago and the playground was under construction, so I wanted to take a video and show the playground as it’s finished now. This is a phenomenal park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
