We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of French Quarter River Walk yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about French Quarter River Walk
“Nice place to walk out of the shopping areas, great views of the river and the boats, cool breeze off the water too.”
Nice place to walk out of the shopping areas, great views of the river and the boats, cool breeze off the water too. You can walk for a bit then get on a street car. Definitely worth a visit.
“I visited during Thanksgiving, and it was nice and peaceful with very few people around. It’s great for a walk along the river, with well-maintained paths. The train tracks add to the scenic charm of the area.”
The New Orleans Riverwalk stretches along the Mississippi River, offering a front-row seat to the city’s rhythm and charm. Walking there, you feel the breeze off the water, hear the steady hum of river traffic, and catch glimpses of paddleboats gliding past.
The French Quarter River Walk is a name duplication for The Moon Walk, Saint Peter Street at the River, Mississippi Meditation and a few others. Same thing just duplicated names. The river is nice to look at but enough names for the same thing already 😂
Trail conditions & character
“Cool little walking path area with views of the Crescent City Bridge and the steamboats that are traveling the Mississippi River.”
