Great trail for biking where it is paved (about 1/3 of the 35 miles), and smooth in most places that are packed gravel riding surface. The entrance/exit to some of the Polk County bridges should be walked over, and after the leaves fall there are spots where limbs/debris can be hidden in the leaves.
Wonderful 35 Mile trail. Rougher than the Katy trail, but still maintained enough to have a lovely ride. (The two ends are planned though). The majority of the trail was in a lovely tree tunnel. My only negative was it's lack of facilities/water along the trail -so plan ahead!
Great trail!! Took our bikes and rode from Bolivar. The bridges are great and so is the scenery. This trail is maintained by volunteers, as most are these days. If you see debris on the trail, please help out and stop and remove it. Your getting to use this for free so do your part!
The end or the beginning of trail in Bolivar depending on the direction chosen. Ample parking at the trailhead near the old depot.
