Confirmed from John Playter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Smallish, clean park featuring a pavilion and picnic tables.
What runners say about John Playter Park
“Small but very well kept park, dedicated to the memory of a local war hero, whose story is told on plaques near the entrance.”
“Beautiful park with a great message - don't take your freedom for granted!”
“If you're looking for a nice quiet place to relax where you can take your pets, this is a great spot!”
It is nice and clean ! If you want to go for a small jog with not much scenery then it's great! Otherwise go to the city park.
Great park within a small city. I appreciate the historical value held within the marble walls and flower garden. A wonderful place for retrospective quiet, a place to honor our hero's within our country. Nice trails with three different bridges. Multiple places to sit and a quiet, quaint pavilion. Will be back.
Great place to bring a family. If you are looking for a long walk you will have to go around several times to make that happen. However it is still a nice walk. Gazebo was great too. Adequate parking and lighting at night.
We live close to this park, so it is where I take Lily out for a walk in the mornings. They have done a nice job paving the trails throughout the park, lots of trees for shade, and a memorial to Jon Playter.
