Confirmed from Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice, hard packed trails along a stream and through a woods. Easy to follow and mostly shaded. Fairly busy on a July 6 holiday weekend Saturday morning but not overly so. Very tame deer along the edge of path and a nice variety of birds (Herons, Red Headed Woodpeckers, etc).

How beautiful is this place! Beautiful walking paths wind through area which follows the river. Beautifully respectful to the wildlife & nature. Many signs in the area in different areas which I found very helpful and informational.

★★★★★ — Marcela , Mar 2023

This is an outstanding place to get a good walk, jog, or bike in. 7 miles of trailer, mostly in Woods alon Salt Creek. Go now before the dam is torn down and the creek dries up. Scheduled for a Winter Sierra Club project

The perfect place to spend time in nature. There are always lots of people walking their dogs or spending time with their family or friends. A well maintained and friendly place to be outdoors.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 13 mentions

“Even after they took away the absolute best part of this place, which is the waterfall, the place is still a comfortable spot for a nice walk.”
