Confirmed from Garbry Big Woods Reserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Woodsy park featuring an archery range and ponds, plus picnic areas.
What runners say about Garbry Big Woods Reserve
“I thought the park was well-maintained, clean, and particularly enjoyed the small Arboretum with Ohio trees.”
“And so many beautiful butterflies!”
“Great place to get out, breath some fresh air, and take a peaceful walk to clear your mind and enjoy the beauty of nature!”
Nice solid boardwalk. Unfortunately some people feel a need to disregard the signs and the boardwalk and walk in the woods, but that is not the park's fault, that is the fault of inconsiderate visitors. There is no need to stray from the great boardwalk.
Garbry Reserve is AWESOME! One of my all time favs! It's very pretty and green. Everything is beautiful. The trails are very clean and clear. It has a lot of "extras" that I haven't seen in other reserves which includes a pond and an archery site w/ deer stand included.
My family and I like coming here to see the wildflowers and to have a nice walk. It's always a nice time to come here and see the wildlife and get fresh air. There's also places you can cook out on the grill in selective areas as well as small shelters you can use for get togethers.
I came here on a rainy day during the week and there was no one else in the park. I had a nice walk on the trails observing the Autumn color. I thought the park was well-maintained, clean, and particularly enjoyed the small Arboretum with Ohio trees.

“It has multiple parking areas which means there's multiple spots you can enter into the reserve.”
“You can see the forest flowers and hear the wonderful sounds of the woods just fine from the accessible walkway.”
