Confirmed from Garcia Bend Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic riverfront park with a playground, soccer fields, tennis court & a boat launch.
What runners say about Garcia Bend Park
“The walk along the river is beautiful, or the bike ride.”
“Update 5/2024: The trees have grown, lots of shade.”
We had a great time setting up a little picnic for my birthday at Garcia Bend Park. It was a week night and the weather was perfect after having triple digit temps for multiple days. There was a cool breeze and being near the Sacramento River helped as well. We spent two hours there and it was peaceful.
I love this bike trail, it offers charming views of Sacramento River and if you love walking your dog the perfect trail for four legged companions. If you want more off road trails to walk up to levee, and make a right. I have yet to explore that side of trail, but it's all rocky path.
The walk along the river is beautiful, or the bike ride. Sunsets over the water are gorgeous. There are picnic tables close to the water, and it is a lovely place to eat. At the front of the park there are soccer fields, tennis courts, and there is a small playground with swings and slides.
Lovely place to walk, ride a bike or just relax! Beautiful views, nice to see boats on the river.
