Confirmed from Garden of the Gods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What a lovely park in addition to being all inspiring, it is accessible for a short walk. A long hike, a drive through it, birdwatching animal watching and paleontology and anthropology thinking.

Visiting Garden of the Gods is an absolutely unforgettable experience. The towering red rock formations set against the bright blue Colorado sky look almost unreal – like something from another planet. The views are breathtaking from every angle. 🌄 The park is very well organized and accessible for everyone.

Absolutely amazing. May be a little crowded and have initial trouble parking but crowded for a good reason. Well worth the visit. Beautiful sights with easy stroll of a walk. Water and bathrooms available.

FREE and open 9-5! The easy to meander Central Garden Trail is just a 1.5mile paved loop that puts you directly beneath 300-foot sandstone towers. It’s brilliant! I loved the kissing camels best! It’s awesome to see these formations both from a distance and up close!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 27 mentions

“The trails are easy to enjoy whether you want a short walk or a longer adventure, and the views around every corner seem better than the last.”
