Confirmed from Gateway Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with sports courts & fields, playgrounds, a splash pad, a walking path & dog areas.
What runners say about Gateway Park
“Super nice splash pad and park area, very clean friendly the place has, shading sitting areas, sitting tables even the parking spots had shades.”
“Our family loved this park it is well cared for and beautiful!”
“There are lots of shaded areas for the summer including the playground.”
Great little place to grab a snack while letting the kids play. They have a skate park as well as a water park. A waking trail that goes around the whole park. Dig friendly. You can watch a soccer game or even a baseball game.
Enjoyed a 40 minute walk with my grandmother 👵 ❤️ 😊 💕 we also bought a Chicago style hotdog 🌭 😀 well made , fresh 😋 delicious 😋. Definitely we'll come back and recommend

“Only downfall is the small dog water fountain had really low pressure, so bring something for your dogs to drink out of.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
