Confirmed from George M. Wallace Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“The park is well maintained and beautiful.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 17 mentions

“We love coming by this park ever since I lived here in the area 15 years ago and it’s especially beautiful in the fall time, when all the leaves are changing”

This has become one of my favorite parks in Denver. It is Soo beautiful here, the grass is so lush, there are places to workout, run, walk, and even trees great for hanging hammocks. The water feature and architecture here are wonderful as well. The kids playground is fairly large also.

This is a wonderful park to walk & take your pet to. It’s not a “dog park” per sè, but there are areas to let your pets play & run & also a nice paved walkway to walk or run on. There is a small playground for children & several wide open areas for playing. Beautiful scenery!

George Wallace Park is such a great spot, especially for a walk with the dog! It’s a family favorite spot to visit! The loop is big and has a little bit of everything—open grassy areas, picnic tables, and even workout equipment along the path that lots of people were using.

★★★★★ — Elisa , May 2025

Beautiful park in Denver Tech Center south of the airport. Great place to run, walk, bike or bring your dog. There is a lot of open space. Leaves were just starting to turn on some trees. There is also a playground for kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
