Confirmed from Orchard Hills Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural area with a playground, trail, tennis courts, fishing pond & a rock-climbing garden.
What runners say about Orchard Hills Park
“Perfect for a quiet walk with scenic trails, a fishing pond, and pickleball courts.”
“Nice quiet park with swings, drinking fountain and tennis court.”
Great hidden gem in the DTC area. Asphalt trails and a few dirt single track trails. Tennis courts, a basketball hoop within one of them, and a small set of swings. The trails connect to several others in the area too. Calm, peaceful area to relax, walk, or great for a run.
Orchard Hills Park in Greenwood Village is a peaceful gem! Perfect for a quiet walk with scenic trails, a fishing pond, and pickleball courts. The playground is great for kids, but bathrooms could be cleaner. A lovely spot!
Small but wonderful park with lots of nice sites, tennis courts, walking paths, pond, benches, views. Connects with other parks for a nice afternoon of wandering and exploring.
Great park hidden away with nice paths. Great place to walk a dog or just walk on your own or with a friend

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
