Confirmed from Gilbert Boucher Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

We love Biddeford, Maine and the Biddeford Pool area. The beach at Gilbert Boucher Park is a great place to visit in the winter. Almost nobody there an a miles of beach 🏝 to walk.

★★★★★ — Liberty , Mar 2022

Lovely place to go walk or run on the beach in Southern Maine. 🏃‍♀️🐕‍🦺

★★★★☆ — Sarah , Nov 2022

We love this beach. It’s often empty in the winter. Great place to walk and dogs are allowed year round just reduced hours in the summer. Great place to se birds too!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Parking is great though I'm sure it fills up fast in July and August.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
