Confirmed from Glacier Ridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Well marked trail in a nice park.”

I worked part of the Glacier Ridge into a 6 mile loop. It's a wonderful, moderately challenging trail...and the OPPOSITE of crowded! Yay!

This trail runs along the same path as North Country Trail in some places but is easy to find from the maps in AllTrails. The trail is very narrow in some sections and there are plenty of roots to navigate. There is plenty of canopy and only a couple places that are actually not in the shade so this is a plus.

Well marked trail in a nice park. The surface is good, but still dirt. It is a natural state trail in the woods. You should wear good shoes.

★★★★☆ — Eric , Jun 2018

Great hiking trail for all types of hikers. The hills aren't so steep, for those who want a casual walk. More than one path you can take.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
