Confirmed from Moraine State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“The entire area that we went to was really peaceful, quiet, and has a very nice scenery, especially at Lake Arthur.”

This was always one of my favorite state parks when I lived in PA. I'd fish there, hike, kayak and boat. So my wife and I stopped by today on our way back home from our camp. It was such a beautiful day, so we hiked some on the Glacier Ridge Trail and spent some time by the water on the South Shore too

Great place for kids, boaters, birdwatching and history buffs. The trail system is ok. Many trails have serious overgrowth and many contain Invasive species unfortunately, in addition some trail blazers are simply no where to be found and it can be hard to find your bearings even on easy trails.

Moraine State Park has a wonderful bicycle / walking trail. The ride out there is pretty nice to boot. Today we parked at the marina and we walked through lakeside Forest with patches of field meadow. The breeze was welcome through the trees. It was a hot one today over 90°.

Moraine State Park was such a lovely one. The entire area that we went to was really peaceful, quiet, and has a very nice scenery, especially at Lake Arthur. There is so much to do here like a trail hike, walking, biking, picnic, and more. The bathroom was just a bit disappointing, so just be aware.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
