Confirmed from Glendale Shoals Preserve & Waterfalls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Glendale Shoals Preserve & Waterfalls

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,360 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful spot definitely worth the time to come out if you’re local”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“There were butterflies flying around and it felt very peaceful climbing around on the rocks and listening to the water.”

One of the most widely used spots in spartanburg for portraits and special occasions. The bridge is decorated with locks like you see in Paris. The falls and big boulders are great for picnics, pets who love the water and great scenery.

This is a great little spot to explore nature and enjoy scenery. The trails are fairly short but it would be great for kids or anyone who can't walk log distances but still wants to get outdoors. I wouldn't recommend this spot for swimming, but it does seem like a good place to fish!

A great to explore. We enjoyed walking on the bridge around the structures and on the trails. We splashed in the water. There are picnic tables and plenty of spaces to just sit and enjoy the views. There wasn't a public restroom that we knew of. We would definitely come back.

A very nice, peaceful place to walk, picnic, and explore. The community garden and picnic area is great for kids, and there’s plenty of variety in the trails and scenery for everyone. Parking can be an issue if you come on a nice day, as the parking lot isn’t very big.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
