Hard to believe this place is right next to route 8, one of my favorite trails in the area!
We have hiked every Summit Metropark trail over the years, except for this one and we clearly have been missing out. Obviously, fall gives it added beauty, but this a great and somewhat easy trail to hike. There are a few spots where you have to navigate rocks, but other than that, it isn't too strenuous.
Awesome dam and a couple of small hidden waterfalls. Will be nice when they hey the top trail fixed again. Definitely muddy when it rains but the rock tunnels make it worth it.
This is by far one of my favorite trails. It's a trail less traveled and a hidden gem. I can hike the whole trail and never run into another hiker. Most time's
