Confirmed from Mary Campbell Cave's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Ample parking and clean bathrooms next to parking lot.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“My boyfriend and I where on vacation so we decided to visit the Gorge still beautiful but not like when I was younger.”

Really cool place to hike. The difficulty varies from easy to hard. There's a cave there and picnic tables, some even have BBQ pits. The main features are the dam and the cave. There is even a dock you can walk on.

Beautiful area, amazing trail, and it's Pet friendly! What a fun historical area. We walked around for what felt like forever. There is so much to see along this trail. Stay on the trail and you will find everything you need!

★★★★★ — Jessica , Jan 2025

Gorgeous cave, reminds me of Whips Ledges and Hocking Hills. Just under a 2 mi trail takes you to the cave and back to the parking lot.

★★★★★ — Dave , Oct 2024

Beautiful moderate hike with friends during spring time. Gorgeous rocks. Some challenging tree roots and uphill grades. Be careful at the edges of the paths bc of very steep slopes. Especially with small children.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
