Confirmed from Mary Edwards Mountain Property's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mary Edwards Mountain Property

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (57 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Great views and this park is where I saw the first Baltimore checkerspot butterfly, I mean my first sighting of one.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Great quiet chill spot if you're local”

Beautiful property in all seasons. Excellent signage and well-maintained trails by the Granby Land Trust.

★★★★★ — Danny , Jan 2023

The property was accessed via the trailhead on Donahue Road, across from the Godard Preserve. Due to time constraints, only the blue trail was part of the day's hike. The views by Mary's Rock is spectacular. Another vist is warranted after the leaves have fallen.

★★★★★ — Bob , Jul 2022

This is a great spot to "commune with nature.". The walking trail is well marked and the view of western Massachusetts from several spots along the trail are simply breathtaking. On very clear days, you can see as far as the Massachusetts-Vermont border!

My first time here and thoroughly enjoyed it. If a dense at times, rock strewn, babbling brook with elevation changes is your thing. This is the place! I hiked the yellow trail which I did as a loop. There are other trails here too. The opening view is grand-tastic!!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
