Confirmed from Phil's Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Phil's Trailhead
“Trails are well marked and it's one my favorite places to ride.”
“Great beginner friendly trails and easy to read signage!”
While this trail system may not be as technical as other networks (Such as in BC, etc.) there is still lots of fun to be had. Due to the lack of elevation gain on rides you can easily hammer out a 25-35km route in a few hours and take in some amazing views.
Extensive, well maintained trail system smack dab in middle of Bend. Super convenient to get some mileage in with options to make it longer, add climb, navigate rocky errain. New pump track was worth the wait - 6 courses to spread out the crowds and options from strider through black diamonds.
The hub of the Bend trail system. It all starts here. Named after trail pioneer Phil Mcglassen this is the starting point for many rides, in particular family oriented rides. Tons of parking. Can be crowded but the one way trails make it not as noticable
This was our first time at Phil’s. We loved it! We can’t wait to go back and try some new routes. There is something for the entire family at Phil’s Trailhead. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for an adventure.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
