Confirmed from Gooseberry Mound Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed park offering picnic shelters, kids' play areas & trails for walking & cross-country skiing.
What runners say about Gooseberry Mound Park
“The fountain was beautiful with various flower beds in the area, and the whole park was very clean and tidy.”
“Beautiful wide open park next to the river with walking paths.”
“A large shaded playground, walking trails by the water, sand volleyball court, and lots of open space.”
“Always a clean fun place for all ages .”
Fun park for the kids. Beautiful trees and open spaces with a parking lot. Easy access from I94 for a quick stop for kids to run some energy off if you are on a road trip. The kids loved racing to be first out of the maze.
A large shaded playground, walking trails by the water, sand volleyball court, and lots of open space. Lots of runners and dog walkers here. The mature trees mean lots of shade and you totally forget that you’re in the middle of town. Our kids love this playground.
Great place to visit and hang out. We stopped here for out of town to take our dog for a walk. It was quite busy here during the time we went, but we had the paved path mostly to ourselves. The bridge was cool, but unfortunately it's not usable. Overall, we really enjoyed it here and would come again.
Perfect location for wedding photos. There is a large shelter, plenty of short and tall evergreen trees, and it's connected to Lindenwood Park by a walking bridge.

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
